A few ways I spend my time after-school:
Geaux Veterans’ mission is to connect the community to Veterans in the State of Louisiana. The focus is on meeting the needs of Veterans at the community level in areas including Employment, Training, Counseling Services, Engagement Initiatives and Advocacy. By complimenting and enhancing offerings from the Veterans Administration, State Workforce Development, Vet Centers and other entities, Geaux Veterans delivers the reach necessary to disseminate information as a collaborative partner. Louisiana Business Leadership Network
The LBN supports best practices in the employment and advancement of people with disabilities; the preparedness for work of youth and students with disabilities; marketing to consumers with disabilities; and contracting with vendors with disabilities through the development and certification of disability-owned businesses.
LASHRM is the affiliated State Council for SHRM and provides leadership, communication and support to 10 state chapters: New Orleans, Covington, Baton Rouge, Houma, Lafayette, Lake Charles, Alexandria, Monroe, Natchitoches, and Shreveport. Follow us on twitter.
The Baton Rouge Chapter of ASTD provides members with opportunities and resources to foster improved workplace learning and performance. The first meeting to form ASTD was held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1943, and the BR chapter is recognized as the first and longest continually active chapter in existence.
